Step Up donates $10,000 to provide hurricane relief for families in Puerto Rico

On October 9th Step Up for Better Living (Step Up) Executive Director Louis Rodriguez went to the American Red Cross to deliver a $10,000 check to Mr. Aron Flasher, the Regional Philanthropy Officer. Mr. Flasher expressed his gratitude for the contribution indicating the great need for donations. According to the American Red Cross, there are hundreds of thousands of people in Puerto Rico who are suffering from horrific conditions including no power, high temperatures, no drinking water and no access to cell phone service. The American Red Cross is responding by serving over 500,000 meals and snacks, distributing relief supplies and providing access to mental health services for over 10,000 people in need. Moving forward, Step Up will continue to find ways to support the families impacted by hurricanes to respond to this humanitarian crisis.
