They say it only takes one.
I was very hesitant to reach out to potential clients to see if they were eligible for SNAP benefits due to some cold responses that I received.
However, not all responses have been cold. I assisted a family who had not been in the US very long, was residing in the shelter, and knew no one here. They were happy to find they could receive some additional help via SNAP to save money and buy healthier food options.
This is why we do it.
We do our best to support our team members as they do outreach to the community. It’s not easy to put yourself out there, even if you are the one offering assistance. SNAP Benefits, AKA Food Stamps, are such a helpful option for those who cannot afford to put healthy food on their table – if they even have a table.
So many people are eligible and don’t know it.
