Jennie Leadbetter

The Step Up for Better Living (Step Up) mission, to help people in need achieve and sustain stability, wellness, and self-sufficiency, really resonates with Jennie Leadbetter as a cause.

Jennie has always had a passion for promoting equal opportunities, previously engaging in school programs to equip children with the skills required to enter the professional world.

Inspired by Step Up’s ability to ensure resources target the most pressing community needs, she joined the Step Up board in June 2022.

Jennie has a B.A. in Modern Foreign Languages from the University of Durham and holds a Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA). During her early career, Jennie spent two years teaching English in schools across Europe, before moving into financial services.

Having now worked in finance for over 10 years, Jennie is excited to share her experiences in education, business strategy and program delivery to give back to the local community and support Step Up’s continued growth and success.
